The US was a strong industrialized nation, with a strong army, with strong support for the war thanks to anti-nazi propaganda, and with a really stong bomb.

When the soviets held back the nazis at the seige of stalingrad it was the turning point of the war. the russians then pushed straight into berlin.

Actually that was one of the funnier moments while Kerry handed bush his ass during the 1st presidential debate last year. Kerry caught Bush in his twisted spin on Iraq, and mentioned that it was bin laden/al qaeda that had attacked us, and not Iraq. All bush could respond with was "Of course I know Bin Laden attacked us. Of course I know that!".

Did anyone else notice the majority of the base closings etc are in the "Blue" states while the "red" states are getting MORE military jobs etc?

Most of the time when the military recruits someone, they ship them halfway across the country, so I doubt the blue states are losing many jobs. They recruit just about everywhere anyway. (especially in those low income areas ) Tho I imagine that moving bases to red states would help their economies a lot, so they would have more jobs in that sense.

Everything this administration does has some type of hidden agenda, so I wouldnt expect anything less from them anyway.

hey hey hey first of all I am American born in america , i live in america, but not all americans support this war or the for lack of a better term "president" who is in office. This is true, but there all also the possibilities of identity theft and Homeland Security's possible implementations of RFID tracking. Long story short, I hate thinking about someone able to keep tabs on me at any given moment blah blah blah. I'm a law abiding citizen (for the most part )........I have no idea where I am going with this. Now if you don't mind I am going to pull out of this political discussion so I can go play UT .
