Hit $1.34/L in other parts of Canada.
Just after Katrina hit Florida I scored and bought gas at $101.4! I was so happy to get such a deal. Little did I know how good of a deal it was going to be less than 48 hours later.
I never thought I'd be happy to pay just over $1/L!

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like “I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive…†And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, which was going about a hundred miles an hour with the top down to Las Vegas. And a voice was screaming: “Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?â€

It'll take 25 trips to the pump before I've lost any money.
I've become such gas monger these last few days

"Oh hey, Rickshaw! Can I get a ride?"
"NO!

Well not really to that extent, but I get irritated every time I have to get in the car

I was driving around for over 3 hours today. I should work out how much it cost.Rickshaw wrote:Stock market?Captain_Obvious wrote:Sorry to be an ass, but I've actually made money off the recent jump in oil prices over the last few days.![]()

ok, heres the 411 on the real situation. i learned this in class. petroleum supplies may run out by 2010 but the amount already processed and already processed but in storage can last another 500 years. At that time we will want to start looking into alternatives. But, there are already alternatives. Not shitty electric cars or hybrids which are great for European driving but are useless on American roads, but other alternatives such as Ethynol for cars. Ethynol is a chemical naturally produced by corn. Cars can run on this even at this point. Of course they would need slight engine modifications i.e every car would need a Mass Flow Sensor and the size of the fuel injection would need to be doubled. If cars started using Ethynol today, it would be a whopping .78 cents a gallon. As for Pinkbandits deisel, vehicles equipped with deisel engines can also run on refined vegtable oil with no modification! So dont worry too much it's not as bad as the media and government want you to think. Of course the oil companies dont want you to know of these alternatives because that would mean loosing crazy amounts of money!

/me wonders where you would store 37500 Million barrels of oil (Thats current consumption rate of 75million barrels a year which will grow so the total amount would need to be higher).

thats why its called off-shore drilling. now who is the automotive tech and who gives Bill Gates his hand jobs? J/K i dont mean to come off like an ass, but those are the facts. now if youl excuse me, im going to go rip off my catalytic converter. those who say car emmissions are ruining the ozone are morons and obviously don't know anything about vehicles and the production of nitrous oxide.Megor wrote:Ummm yah crazy class?DOS_Junkie wrote:ok, heres the 411 on the real situation. i learned this in class. petroleum supplies may run out by 2010 but the amount already processed and already processed but in storage can last another 500 years. yes deisel trucks and some cars have the capability of running on refined vegtable oil. the key word here is REFINED so dont go out and start filling your trucks with a bottle of Wesson. I hold no responsibility for any damage.pinkbandit wrote:LoL i will have you know there is nothing wrong with my FORD!!! Turbo diesel
