Viacom Inc. today announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Xfire, the fastest-growing online gaming community in the world, for $102 million in cash.

am i the only one who is sad to hear this news?

i love xfire just like i USED TO love all-seeing-eye, before they were bought by yahoo which turned it to shit. something tells me that the program i love SO MUCH, x-fire, will turn to total shit now thats it has become mainstream and controlled by MTV.

P.S. MTV sux total ass

Someone recently asked me if i had xfire and of course i didnt know what it was! Oh I think it was default..anyways someone else told me to get it...well now how dare you try to hook me up with a corporate giant!!!

Well, the other options are MSN (owned by Microsoft), AIM (owned by AOL), ICQ (also owned by AOL), Google Talk (owned by Google), and Yahoo Messenger (owned by Yahoo).

We're pretty much stuck with an evil corporation no matter what.

I say fuck the corporations

I use MSN and AIM.. but I wrote a C++ hack/script to completely mess it up so that it does only what I want it to and shows no ads whatsoever. No corporations profit off me using it (they profit off advertisement sales) so I like it. I get a product I desire and fuck over a corporation at the same time. It's like Smantie's basic dream come true.

As soon as I find a way to get free hookers from this, I'll be living like a king...
