Heya , congrats on making a clan server , ill check it out as soon as i fix my computer , im writing this post from my moms old windows 95 that i found in the basement 3 questions though 1) is server open to public or private ? 2) Is the server ran from sumones pc or are u renting from jolt or gameservers.net ? and 3) Wut times is the server open? Ill wanna check it out L8rs !

tough luck on your PC. the server is now open to public unless we want to lock it for practice, friendlies and so on, i built a server out of a Dell P3 600 Mghz 512 RAM Win 98SE connected through d-link router and comcast cable from my house, dedicated UT server thats on 24\7, all i need to do now is get League assault installed and some hax protection and anything else anyone can think of, maybe some more maps and mapvote too, other than that it works like a charm, ENJOY and HAPPY FRAGGIN'!!!

Nice , may i ask you how to install and run leagueAS136 on a server ? Both cb servers have league135 and i wanna know how to run it. If you could tell me stepbystep were to extract it and how to run it and all that would be great . Hopefully the server is not gonna be laggy since its a dedicated , but then again my pro clan rents a server from jolt , its good and lagg free but its costs em big money $$. Well , i look forward to fraggin there , cheat protection really isnt necesary if u ask me , there arent many people who even bother cheating on small dedicated servers , they usually cheat for matches and on big popular servers like gamebox and maybe boomtown, as far as ive seen. Anyways , gl with server m8 , l8erz !

i will definitely let you know how to install 136 once i figure it out myself LOL and no the server seems to be ok as far as lag, no one has major issues, at least not that i know of, your gonna typically get bad pings sometimes when you are on a crappy backbone connection anyway, for instance when i created the server the first night CO was getting about 90-110 ping and hes on the west coast im on the east coast, people from UK were getting around 130-160 which is a little high but they have to go through an underwater atlantic ocean backbone!! Sonya was all the way in australia and her ping was less than TGB, 300 or something, and we dont even need to get into the cost, which is nothing to me, parts were found throughout my shop, already had router and comcast, the only thing costing me money is being glued to this damn game called UT and not getting my jobs done LOL LOL LOL

one more thing is it possible to have a link like they have on GB.net where u click on the server and the whole list of players come up those r playing on the server comes up. 2 lazy 2 open UT and c whoz on.

maybe i could install Web Admin and give everyone semi admin rights, enough to see who is on or maybe switch maps and stuff

Get The All Seeing Eye its some program where u can see games in progress without the slow loading of UT

having problems getting the server to list itself in the assault list, might be an issue with master server at atari being upgraded(its what I've heard)?? in any case the new IP address for the server is....68.32.18.207...it is still up and running but you have to open location

well...the server is officially down until i can figure out what the hell is wrong with it, i cant find any problems but i cannot get it to list itself in the assault tab, so if anyone has any suggestions i would greatly appreciate it thnx

i meant clicking on some link on the website and getting the list of players thereon like the one on gb.net.

check the server log files and u will have his IP address. that will do it.

when sumone mean comes to the server and is being a real a$shole and refuses to stop , dont only kick him, because within days he can get right back in : instead put in kickban_"..." , then also go to server files and ban his ip adress alltogether from server. As long as he uses that pc , hes never coming to ur server again Kicking doesnt always work , even kickbanning itself can fail sumtimes , thats why ip ban was wolv said is smartest to do

I can update the page later from that, and it'll be easier for people to find the IP. Just post something like "The new server IP is 69.139.170.130".

ahhhh, nice one. The server IP should only change once every 3 weeks i think, depending on how long the lease lasts with comcast, other than that it would change whenever I have to reset my router during maintenance

For crying out loud man, stick a crowbar in your wallet and pay for a static IP.
