With a little genetic engineering, they've managed to stop mouth bacteria from excreting the lactic acid which rots our teeth. If these guys would hurry the fuck up and release this, dentist visits and cavity fillings would be almost obsolete.
Lately all I hear from people is wah wah wah the economy is so fucked up. Well government, I have a proposition for you. Take your shitty stimulus checks, shove them up your asses, and let Oragenics finish curing tooth decay instead. Just think what a fucking boon it would be to the economy if suddenly nobody had to pay to visit the fucking dentist all the time. We'd have more money to spend on real shit, instead of wasting our time (and the dentist's) and our money to sit in a chair and get stabbed in the face with sharp bits of metal.

Most human tooth decay is caused by a bacterium called Streptococcus mutans that sits on the tooth surface and converts sugar in our diet to lactic acid. The lactic acid is excreted by the bacteria and causes tooth decay by dissolving the mineral that comprises our enamel and dentin. Our scientists have isolated a strain of S. mutans that produces a small amount of an antibiotic that is capable of killing all other strains of this species. Through recombinant DNA technology, we succeeded in eliminating the gene in this strain that is responsible for producing lactic acid. Consequently, it does not cause significant tooth decay.
