I've loaded Counter Strike Source and my PC won't run it! WAAAA! Installed, the video stress test says that I should expect 28 fps, but online I get like 5 fps. WAAA WAAA. My video card has 128MB so I figure that I would simply upgrade that. Well, with today's video cards I also need to upgrade my power supply. WAAAA WAAA WAAA. So, I've just ordered a bunch of parts from Tiger Direct to piece together a new gaming PC. My credit card says, "WAAAAAAAAAA!"

I have been able to get approx 15 to 20 fps by changing some video settings, but its still unplayable in my opinion. I've played it today on a friend's PC that is using older technology than that which I've ordered today. So, I should be good.

i thought my old computer sucked...but i can play all the steam games without any problems. except for the long loading times...

brings back Memories of my old celeron + 256mb>512mb ram, SiS650>fx5200>fx5700le combo

but I'm sure you all know about my old celery, I complained enough

I'm happy to say that my new system screams! Counter Strike Source is awesome! I'm not much of a game player but a friend of mine wanted me to try it out and I really like it.

I'm not sure why my old system is so poor. Its got a 128MB 800MHz video card. I know the ram is low but I still thought it would be OK. Its a P4 2.8GHz with 2GB ram. It plays UT just fine at high res. But, I understand that UT is a much older game.

I don't have UT loaded on the new system yet. I'll get it!

your old comp is slightly better than my comp

i have p4 2.6 ghz 1.5 gb ram but have 256 mb gfx card

all the steam games run just fine with the exception of the gfx-intensive ones like crysis
