And the best part is that it should be relatively easy for us to take claim the #1 spot. If any two people other than Bitchy, SK, and I decided to play there asses off and make it into the top 25, qoou would be the #1 assault clan.
I'm going to be playing more to improve my rank as much as I can, but it's a lot easier to move up from rank 100 than rank 17. Right now the average rank of the top 5 hak is 13 while ours is 32 (despite Bitchy and SK being in the #1 and #2 spots). If I improve my rank, and a couple of you join the UTA Top 25, we'd easily have an average top five rank of 12, and we'd take the #1 spot from HAK.

Our Ranking Algorithm
All of our ladders work the same way. Every 3 minutes we look at each server and calculate the number of points each player scored during that 3 minute period. For each player we work out how many players who rank above them on the ladder they have beaten and we raise their rank by that number. In addition at the end of each day (The CSports.net system runs on GMT. All end of day positions are calculated as at midnight GMT) we apply what we call "rank gravity" to all players that have not played for a while. Those who have not played for more than 7 days accelerate on each additional inactive day towards the bottom of the table
What results is a system where new players move initially very quickly and then ever more slowly to the rank that is commensurate with their ability. It is a very natural uncomplicated system that works in the way that you would expect it to. The more data points you give the system, i.e. the more highly ranked players you beat over time, the faster you will reach your equilibrium position.
