Hey all,

I did a crude hack on an older version of Mapvote I had laying around and have made it so the server can have up to 99 mutators to choose from.

Most of the mutators were already on there, I just paired with others to spice it up.

Darkmatch is fun. Now with some other mutators mixed with, it's nuts.

Try them out and let me know if I might have missed something you might want to play. heh I have a couple more Arenas I can add but haven't done so yet. Yes I even added Chainsaw Arena for drunk, he better come play now.

Both Strangeloves are not working at the moment ( its late - I'm tired) I will testing out Darkmatch and Strangelove very soon. Other than that all seem to work, if it has a hammer in it Disgraced should be there.

You already now the drill and addy, if not it's listed on the Assault Tab in UT under De_Faults Just for Fun... Handy name eh?

Darkmatch is awesome!!!! But I only got to play like one match of it because all the other losers kept voting for other mutators.

Darkmatch is great for a break. I just tried it tonight

its pretty cool...except i cant see anything so all my kills are luck

My UT runs at about 0.1fps after downloading all the mutators cleaned the cache but have to delete em to get it running normally

The amount of mutators should have no effect on your game speed of UT. All in all there is only about 10 mutators that you download, the biggest being Strangelove. All the other mutators are tiny in comparison. The majority of the mutators are standard (came with the game).

The most in one game that is currently active is 4. If your pc can't handle that, them thats a whole other story. On my second install of UT (mutator testing) I have every mutator known to UT and performance is not hampered at all. If clearing your cache worked then great. Hopefully you have used CacheCleaner so it converts all the mutators/maps/skins etc. so you don't have to download them every time. If you don't have it let me know I post a link.

Make sure you have dynamic lighting turned on in Options/Prefernces/Video. See picture below.


Also it is adviseable to download the mutator and set of the settings on your side *one of the few mutators that allow you to do this* The mutator comes with a pretty good ReadMe file. The thing I found out that it doesn't mention is to turn on Dynamic Lighting.

Here is what I see when I play this mutator.





Some maps beause of they were made have some issues with DarkMatch, if you play Rook, in the room where the Rocket launcher is, it is *almost completely lit. In the dark areas you should always have your spot light. Try it and see.

This version of Mapvote is not going to allow 99 mutators to be listed and chosen. 30 seems to be the max. I'll be fine tuning the list and scaling it back some trying to get both StrangeLoves back in StrangeLove Arena and StrangeLove & Sniper.

Mod configuration menu options
------------------------------
Activate Light
Manual instead of automatic activation.
If it's on, you'll spawn with the light turned on.
If it's off, you'll spawn with the light turned off.
This setting is disabled by default.
Colored Light
Light color equals team color.
If it's on, your light color is the same as your team color.
If it's off, your light color is the default color.
It's enabled by default but only works with team games.
Flash Light
Use flashlight instead of searchlight.
If it's on, your light will be smaller than usual.
If it's off, your light will be the standard one.
Default is disabled since it's not useful for the big levels.
Player Light
Glow while light is active.
If it's on, you will pulse while your light is activated.
If it's off, you will not pulse, being hidden in the dark.
Default is enabled since it makes toggling the light useful.
Realistic Light
Recalculate light radius each tick.
If it's on, your light size will be bigger if it's far away.
If it's off, your light size will always be the same size.
Default is disabled since it can have a performance impact.
Toggle Light
'Mutate EavyDarkmatchIII' activates/deactivates light.
If it's on, you can toggle your light with the mutate command.
If it's off, you cannot toggle your light with the command.
Default is on so you should bind the command to a key.
Crouching Toggle
If this option is turned on, your light will be turned off while you
are crouching. It's off by default. Turning it on is recommended for
newbie servers so they don't have to mess with the keyboard setup...
