On one side it is a good idea since there is a lot of rape incidents and when it happens the authorities don't really care too much about it. On the other side these women who choose to wear them are anticipating they will be raped. That's gotta do something to them mentally.

There was a thread about these (the anti-rape condom, not the satirical V-mine ) on the somethingawful.com forums.

Some think that this will reduce the occurrence of rape and instead increase the number of assaults and murders.

They think the attempting rapist will become furious if a woman is wearing one of these and might beat her to death.

Well it won't happen at that exact moment but maybe after the fact. I can't see a man with a bunch of fish hooks in his penis being able to beat someone up.

My concern here is that the victim might be incapacitated or restrained.

The thought about something like this that really worries me is that when things are mass-produced, there will inevitably be defects. The thought of having pointy things in my vagina which could hurt me too rather frightens me.

And the whole "land mine" thing... how the hell is that not going to hurt the woman involved?

I do recall reading that during Vietnam, many Vietnamese women put razor blades in their vaginas for much the same reason.

Just remember everybody... no means no.

Well looks like only the back door would be safe this way
