Probably too complex. For some reason, I love the simplicity of Unreal Tournament. Such a classic game. :)

According to what I read, the 2007 developers designed simple maps first and tested them extensively for gameplay, and then added the details in. So the gameplay should be much better than 2004, but nothing beats the original IMO. ;)

I read somewhere that UT2007 would be more like UT GOTY.
I like UT2004, it just doesn't play well on my system.

I can't even play UT on 1024x768 with all high I get about 6fps :roflmao:
My comp can't handle a 1999 Game :roflmao:

Ok Folks, seems I know more about this game than the rest of you :D

The gameplay engine was built first. Right now they have only laid down full textures on one map. They want graphics to look nice, but gameplay is the number 1 priority on this game. They are trying as hard as they can to make this a sequel to UT, not UT2K4.

BTW UT2K7 may be just a code name. They are considering calling it Unreal Tournament 2, so people will get the drift that this is going to be totally different from 03/04. Most elements from those game will disappear with the exclusion of walls jumping and triple jumps.

If this game doesnt have a hammer for hammer jumping/piston fragin :impact: Nor rocket launching :rock: then in my opinion it sucks! Ive been rocket jumping/launching since my quake 2 days! :D

On the other hand it does make assault more accessible, I think hammer jumping is fine etc, but rocket launching etc and the hammer launching was not intended in the original assault, and playing with things like the eavy mod are actually a lot of fun, you gotta earn the objective

that was there mistake with 2003 2004 UC and UC2 theres no assault no hammer and no launching it sucks. well 2004 has as but no launching.

Rocket jumping was not intended for Quake 2 either but it happened. Matter of fact one of the creators accidentally shot down with rocket because he was trapped in a corner and noticed he flew up into the air and lived to see it.

Yah but in assault you end the level by pressing a single button in many cases, in quake2 its more dm or ctf
