Woohoo! I just got a gmail invite from Google in my email. I spose I could sell it on ebay and get like $25 for it, but I'll probably end up using it for myself. If only I could decide on what screen name to use.

I got the invite cuz I give Google loads of money every month with their adwords program.

Yeah you get to pick your own username. A lot of names are already taken, but there's still some good ones available. I chose to use ****** just cuz I'm mostly gonna be using gmail to do nightly backups of my ***** database. Overall it seems like a pretty good service. The ads on the side dont really bother me and it's got some great features like search.

Let me know if you dont get it. People are saying that hotmail blocks a lot of the gmail invites for some reason. If that happens I can just send the text of it to you over a PM or something.

Ummm a link for inviting people just shows up. It takes a few days after opening your account before google gives you any invites though.

My invite link showed up pretty much to the hour of having my account for a week. I only received one. Someone who signed up the following day as me received none. I don't think they are handing them out anymore for the time being. The person I also invited received none.
