made it out of Florida just in time to beat Hurricane Dennis!!

on a serious note, had left a day early to avoid the damn thing and wouldn't u know it, as we are packing up the cars it begins to downpour :(

...despite that slight sKare, our cars were driven veeery fast headed North on the highway and the storm was close behind us, not too much but thunder storms and heavy rains on the way out and some major downpours in Georgia and thats about it till home...

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like “I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive…” And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, which was going about a hundred miles an hour with the top down to Las Vegas. And a voice was screaming: “Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?”
