De_Faults Just for Fun Server

Calling it quits !

I am shutting down the server either Wednesday or Thursday this week.
It's been a fun experiment to see how many of the mutators I could get to work online but, in the end it's very clear to me the Assault is pretty much dead except for some diehards

I've been playing for a long time, and game still makes me laugh. Which is why I played it to begin with.

The rent for the server is due in the next few days and I don't intend to continue to rent it. The money to run the server is not worth the lack of traffic. I got better things to spend my money on.

I learned more about UT mutators than I probaly ever cared to know. I am currently backing up all my UT stuff onto DVD's and plan to delete UT from my PC. Time to concentrate on a new game...

Hope you all continue to enjoy UT, but its time for me to move on.

Haha In all honesty you're among my favorite people to play with. We had some hilarious times playing Strangelove. No doubt you'll be missed. Let us know what other games you're playing, and we can always try them out with you. Just because we're a UT clan, doesnt mean we're bound to UT.

All in all, I think assault is far from dead... I thought it was dead last year around this time, but it came back... it always seems to come back. But yeah, I'd say that overall the numbers are falling, and there's not a lot we can do about it.

I think I prefered your server over TGB or any of the other assault servers. I just wish more people had used it, as there was usually nobody else on when I wanted to play on it.

Like I said, update us on what games you're playing, and keep posting with us on these boards!
