Favorite games EVER!

Post by Rickshaw » Wed Jun 22, 2005 10:40 pm

Everyone who plays games has ones that have taken up countless hours of their lives and given them a reason to keep playing them

Here are my favorite games of all time (in no order):

Balloon fight (NES) - When I was little, I played this game at my aunt's house when I was bored. I learned to love it
Street Fighter II: Turbo (SNES) - My brother and I beat my dad in a game of foosball (he let us win) under the agreement that he would buy us SNES. This was our first game. I got pretty good with Deejay, and one time I got a perfect vs my brother.....and then he punched me in the arm. It hurt so I stopped playing for a while :x .
WCW vs. NWO Revenge (N64) - I was the undisputed champion in this game amongst all my friends. I don't know why, but I was just too good in this game :P .
Star Fox 64 (N64) - Although I couldn't stand the annoying characters, I loved the game play and multiplayer in Star Fox.
Smash Bros. 64 (N64) - This is my favorite game of all time! We would play this game for hours and still be pissed when the friend of the house we were at would kick us out
Final Fantasy VII - I enjoy a good RPG, but this one is definitely my favorite :D
Unreal Tournament 8) - Second only to Smash Bros. Best computer game I've ever played

Unreal 1 + Na pali expansion
UnrealTournament
Baldur's Gate I II and expansions
Avernum Series (just to kill time)
Utopia (online text based game)
Deus Ex (EXCELLENT)

Those are the ones that come to mind right now
Haven't touched a console system for awhile and don't care for them all that much. I prefer the mouse and KB ;)

Burger Time (Commodore 64)

may be the game that sparked my lifelong obsession with video games and computers at the same time

Heh... there was a game which had a similar effect on me. It was Star Raiders on the Atari 400. What an incredible game for its time! Really opened my eyes up to what computers could do. I've been hooked ever since.

There was an arcade game which was similar, but I don't know the name of it... I'm still trying to find out!

The name of it was "Pong".

Let me know if you need a few suggestions on how you can repay me for this knowledge.

Was it called Michael Jackson's Moonwalker?

When I was little and broke, I used to play this game because it was the cheapest at the arcade. Now I realize how hilarious of a game it really is :D
